Change page orientation without rendering new page images

Additional rotation on every page

Choose 90 degrees right, 180 degrees, or 90 degrees left (270 degrees). PDFcraft adds that angle to each page's existing rotation modulo 360. A page already rotated 90 degrees becomes 180 degrees when you add another 90.

The handler changes PDF page rotation with pdf-lib and saves a new file. It does not intentionally rasterize text or images, resize the page boxes, or rotate just a selected page. Visual orientation and the underlying media/crop dimensions are different properties.

What to verify

Controlled Node checks confirmed the requested rotation and retained extracted text on the tested fixture. That is not a guarantee for signatures, every PDF structure or every viewer. Check mixed-orientation pages in the saved file; adding the same angle to every page may not be what each page needs.

Rotation runs on the selected PDF in browser memory without a document-processing upload. Web assets still load, and encrypted or malformed files can fail parsing. Keep the original so you can try another angle without repeatedly rewriting the only copy.

Frequently asked questions

Will a 90-degree rotation make every page portrait?+
No. The same additional angle is applied to every page. Existing orientation and page dimensions determine whether each resulting page appears portrait or landscape.
Does rotation change the order of my pages?+
The rotation handler visits the current pages in place and does not reorder them. It changes their rotation values, then saves another PDF.
