Move pages while keeping supported targets attached
Use Up and Down to build the sequence
Move Up and Move Down swap neighboring entries in the page list. Repeated moves can place a page elsewhere in the document. The list identifies page numbers; it has no thumbnails or drag-and-drop ordering. Save New Order copies the full sequence into another PDF.
Page count stays the same, while positions change intentionally. Check the list against the original document before saving, especially when printed page labels do not match physical positions.
Targets follow logical pages
Supported direct links, local GoTo actions, named destinations and bookmarks are mapped to the inserted copies of their original target pages. Valid original names are retained for this single-document operation. A supported OpenAction is remapped as well; remote GoToR destinations stay remote.
Actions and ownership are validated, then the serialized file is reopened and checked again. AcroForm input, linked popup annotations, JavaScript and malformed or unsupported structures are rejected. Reordering is not a promise to preserve every document-level feature or digital signature.
Evidence and final checks
Synthetic Node tests moved pages into a last/first/middle order and checked supported target identity, bookmarks and geometry. Browser interaction and visual fidelity were not established. Test important links in the saved copy rather than relying only on its page count.
Page copying happens in browser memory; the reorder handler has no document-upload request. The surrounding website still loads resources. Large documents can exceed memory, and encrypted inputs need an appropriate unencrypted copy first.
